Kimo Scott -
His real name was George Kenneth Scott, but he was better known as Ken Scott or Falconetto, a pseudonym derived from a Renaissance painter, he used when designing printed furnishing fabrics.
An eclectic, eccentric artist from Indiana in the United States, Scott perfected his natural talent at the prestigious parsons School of Design, New York and came to Milan in the Fifties, where he decided to espress his vivacious creativity through prints for Como silk.
He personally cultivated the flowers depicted in his famous prints which are today a fashion classic, beyond the dictates of fashion, he entered the pret-a-porter sector in the Sixties-Seventies, anticipating by a few years, flared trousers in '61, "beach jamas" in '63 and caftans in '65.
An ironic, provocative talent that won him celebrity clients like Audrey Hepburn, Capucine, Veruska and Twiggy. The Ken Scott Company today continues to reproduce his designs, the result of 40 years of artistic production, from the Ken Scott and Falconetto archives, for Haute Couture and furnishing fabrics, foulards, accessories, linen and fancy items. Ken Scott designed and re-invented flowers-roses, peonies, sunflowers, poppies and violets as well as butterflies, fish and shells. His showy prints were an ode to nature. The company is therefore deeply committed to safeguarding the environement; in fact, it is involved in sponsoring ecological events.
